About The New Club
It may be 'Cheltenham's Best Kept Secret', but this private members Club first opened its doors in 1874 moving from Imperial Square to the elegant and historic building in Montpellier in 1970. Over the many years, the Club has provided a meeting place for people who enjoy a comfortable environment to relax and meet with old and new friends. The bar is well supplied with beers, spirits and fine wines. Our resident chef ensures our restaurant and bar food is consistently excellent and varied. Morning coffee is on tap throughout the day.
Regular social activities include snooker, a monthly book club, Pilates, a club choir, a golf society, bridge club, ramblers, regular afternoon teas as well as speakers' dinners, barbecues, Christmas and New Year celebrations and regular themed suppers prepared by our chef. The Club maintains a members' marquee at the Cheltenham Cricket Festival and a private table at the Cheltenham Races.
The Club is open from 9.30am to 3pm Monday and Saturday and from 9.30 to 7pm (or later) from Tuesday to Friday. Our dress code is smart casual but jeans and trainers are not permitted in the dining room or for other formal occasions.
