The Premier Social Club of Cheltenham
Relax with the newspapers and a coffee, unwind with a drink at the bar, enjoy a light lunch with your guests, dine with your friends at our weekly themed club dinners, often with live music or other festivities, listen to expert speakers at our lecture suppers, watch a cocktail being made just for you, throw a private party, take part in our special events, or come to one of our many cultural, sporting and fun activities, all set within our classic Regency home.
Our lively, friendly members come mostly from Cheltenham and its surrounding villages, with membership open to individuals over 18 and to couples.
We are an eclectic bunch, numbering among our present members distinguished military and legal figures, doctors, surgeons, architects, musicians, TV presenters, writers, academics, archaeologists, accountants, teachers, surveyors and other professionals, as well as those farming land in the county and many entrepreneurs and business people, not forgetting those who have retired to Cheltenham and have joined to make new friends. For those who live further afield we offer country membership.
The New Club (not so new: founded 1874!) is lucky to have as its home an attractive and historic building in Montpellier, right in the heart of Cheltenham, a minute from the Suffolks, Imperial Square and Montpellier Gardens, where the Cheltenham Literature, Music, Science and Jazz Festivals all take place, and with ample parking for members.
